Sundays at CTR

Join us every Sunday as we gather together to celebrate who Jesus is and what he has done for us.

First time?

Whether you have never been to church, haven't been for a while or are new to the area we'd love to say hello to you! Let us know so we can say hello.

10:00am service

Family worship

Every Sunday, together as one big family, we gather for our lively, informal service around tables for the whole service. We give thanks, sing praise to God in worship, pray, are taught from the Bible and spend time talking about what this means for us day to day.

During the service we have a Sunday Kids group taking place where they spend time looking at the big story of the Bible, playing some games and doing some craft activities together.

Once a month we have an all-age service and on alternating Sundays we celebrate communion together.

We also have tea, coffee and cake afterwards as well as Sunday Youth for teenagers.

8:30am communion

Communion

Once a month we gather in one of the oldest buildings in the city. Join us for a short reflective spoken communion service.

1st Sunday of each month at The Leper Chapel.

Leper Chapel

The Barnwell Leper Chapel dates back to the 12th Century and is one of the oldest building in Cambridge.

It has an intriguing history – built originally as the chapel of an isolation hospital for Lepers – the Chapel survived because of Stourbridge Fair, which became the largest medieval fair in England, and still took place until the 1930s. Today the Chapel is owned and cared for by Cambridge Past Present and Future.

Once a month we have a quiet and reflective communion service where all are welcome to join.

Please note, there is no parking at the Chapel – parking is available on nearby streets for cars. Please note also that there are no toilets or disabled access at the Chapel.

Prayer & worship

Everything we do starts with prayer and it’s much easier that you might think!

We believe prayer is such an important part of being a follower of Jesus. Praying prepares us to encounter the love of God in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit to receive the transforming grace of God.

  • On the third Wednesday of each month, we gather together in the evening to pray.

  • On the first Sunday of each month, we gather to pray and worship with Barnwell Baptist Church to pray for Barnwell.

  • You may be struggling getting started praying so here are some helpful resources for you;

  • We’d love to pray for you. Let us know how by sending a Prayer Request (anonymously if you want).
